The standards of the entire "State of railway vehicles" contained technical specifications for systems and components of railway vehicles in accordance with DIN 25003 which are relevant to safety and require monitoring. The standards of the "State of rail vehicles" as a whole define the limit state for the safe operation of railway vehicles and their components. They shall be applied where the vehicles are operated on a public railway infrastructure. The minimum requirements laid down in the standards for the processes for observing the desired condition of the railway vehicles are also to be applied. In addition, the standards must also be observed in the new design if constructive precautions are to be taken to comply with the operating limit criteria. This standard applies to weld-related maintenance of railway vehicles. Each vehicle is assigned a maintenance-related body (ECM), which specifies the applicable regulations and their implementation for the weld-related maintenance. As an alternative to the requirements in Sections 4, 6, 7 and Annex D of DIN EN 15085-2: 2008-01, the classification of the components and components according to 5.1 and the qualification of the welding companies according to Annex C may be applied.
